Jazz, blues, and celebrating a new mural in #DTSJ

By March 20, 2018 No Comments

This weekend we have more great picks from a variety of genres and venues.

Friday, March 22: Jazz Jam at Art Boutiki

Art Boutiki hosts another Jazz Jam this Thursday. Participants will join the house band — San Jose’s own Theya! The Jazz Jam is free and open to all ages.

Saturday, March 23: The Legendary Bobby Radcliff Band at Poor House Bistro

Bobby Radcliff and his band will be at Poor House Bistro this Thursday. Radcliff was inspired to start playing guitar after hearing Magic Sam perform at the 1969 Ann Arbor Blues Festival and has played blues in Chicago, Washington D.C., New York City — and now San Jose!

Sunday, March 24: Celebrating SJ’s new mural of hope

Join San Jose Museum of Art, Empire Seven Studies, and the Children’s Discovery Museum to celebrate a new public mural — Sophie Holding the World Together by El Mac — with live music and family friendly activities. MaKrú will provide live music with a fusion of rumba, flamenca, ska, cumbia, and other global beats.
